Infoblox and Google Cloud partner to enhance cloud networking and security solutions for enterprises

Infoblox and Google Cloud have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing cloud networking and security for enterprise customers. The collaboration introduces two new solutions designed to simplify operations while providing improved visibility, control, and protection.

The first offering, Infoblox Universal DDI for Google’s Cloud Wide Area Network (WAN), integrates Google Cloud’s Cross-Cloud Network infrastructure with Infoblox's Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management services to support efficient enterprise networking.

The second solution, DNS Armor powered by Infoblox, provides proactive detection of malicious activity for Google Cloud workloads, enhancing security across cloud infrastructures.

Scott Harrell, president and CEO of Infoblox, remarked, “The partnership with Google Cloud represents a strategic milestone in our commitment to innovation and mission to enhance cloud networking and security.” He noted the importance of Protective DNS and DDI services in managing hybrid multi-cloud environments.

Muninder Singh Sambi, VP/GM of Networking at Google Cloud, emphasized the initiative's goal of bridging networking and security, stating that it simplifies customer operations.

Infoblox Universal DDI for Google’s Cloud WAN is available on the Google Cloud Marketplace and promises reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while improving application and service delivery. DNS Armor leverages Infoblox's DNS-centric threat intelligence for increased security against evolving threats.

Both firms recognize the need for enterprises to streamline their operations and enhance security measures, with the partnership presenting an evolution in network service integration.
