Huawei launches HiSecEngine USG6000G firewall series
Huawei unveiled the HiSecEngine USG6000G series firewalls at MWC Barcelona 2026 and described the lineup as intended to safeguard enterprises on their journey toward full intelligence.
The company said the series included three 2U fixed-configuration models and four desktop G-series firewalls, and that the release followed its earlier E and F series firewalls; Huawei also stated the products were applicable across enterprise branches, campuses, and data centers and supported secure interconnection between headquarters and branches and secure local internet breakout.
Huawei said the G-series used dedicated security engines and incorporated intelligent security computing power to run inline security algorithms and real-time local model inference; the series expanded file detection with a new phishing webpage detection capability that Huawei said could block unknown phishing attacks within milliseconds and achieve an unknown threat detection rate of 95%, which the company said was 15% higher than the industry average.
The USG6800G fixed-configuration models were described as designed for enterprise headquarters with large traffic volumes and complex services, with the USG6885G reaching 135 Gbps threat protection performance and Huawei reporting 2× the performance and 1.5× the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) decryption capability compared to similar products; for multi-branch scenarios Huawei said the USG6500G desktop firewalls integrated firewall, router, and switch functions and supported 5G and PoE power supply, and the company said the high-performance models could serve as hub gateways at headquarters while all security functions remained enabled.
“we are continuously improving the development of education, and digital services across the country. By introducing Huawei network security products, our regional government departments have built efficient, secure, and efficient connections to better serve and improve the quality of life of the people.” said Adriano Distribution Automation (DA) Rocha Lima, Secretary-General of the Government of Goiás State, Brazil.
