Google Cloud and Verizon stated that they have entered a new strategic partnership agreement focused on deploying full-stack AI across Verizon’s customer experience, network operations, marketing, and enterprise data platforms. The organizations said the work targets a unified approach to applying AI across customer and operational environments.

The agreement extends their prior relationship and places AI across the enterprise, from the customer-facing digital front end to the network’s closed-loop control plane. The companies also referenced an internal direction described as “autonomous network operations,” where AI is embedded into network infrastructure rather than added as an overlay.

Verizon described customer-facing work built on Gemini Enterprise’s conversational and multimodal capabilities, tied to an “AI-first toolbox.” The company said Verizon’s existing contact-center work with Google Cloud became Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience and that it handles the majority of inbound consumer calls and chats each month. Verizon also described using AI to predict and resolve network anomalies and applying Google Cloud data and AI solutions to marketing and cybersecurity capabilities.

In support of enterprise-wide efforts, the companies described integrating Google Cloud’s Agentic Data Cloud and Gemini Enterprise with Verizon’s consolidation of legacy data lakes. Verizon also said the marketing organization will use AI to automate content creation and orchestrate campaigns, and it will use Gemini Enterprise for agent orchestration and employee productivity. “Verizon is on a journey to become the most trusted carrier for our customers’ connected lives,” said Alfonso Villanueva, Verizon chief transformation officer, and EVP of Verizon Consumer. “Serving each and every one of our customers by name requires working AI-first at every level. Our partnership leverages Google Cloud’s AI and data capabilities across our organization to better enable our employees and keep our customers at the center of everything we do.”

“Verizon is pioneering what a true, full-scale AI transformation looks like for a global enterprise,” said Karthik Narain, chief product and business officer at Google Cloud. “By integrating Google Cloud’s full AI stack into its business—from high-performance infrastructure and Gemini models to custom business agents—they are reshaping the future of telecommunications and building an autonomous network for millions of customers.” The companies also cited a five-year set of jointly designed AI deployments that achieved a 95% “comprehensive answerability” rate of customer inquiries.
