Fibocom presented its MGB Series GNSS portfolio at India Mobile Congress 2026, including the MGB180, MGB280 and MGB390 modules. The company’s lineup covers multiple positioning levels, from single-frequency to dual-frequency and RTK-enabled accuracy.
Across the MGB Series, Fibocom described support for positioning options intended for devices with different design priorities, including cost, power consumption, positioning accuracy and regional satellite compatibility. The modules were presented as an approach to accommodate those varying requirements.
Fibocom said the MGB180 and MGB280 meet single-frequency GNSS requirements, supporting GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. Both modules integrate AGNSS and include 96 tracking channels. For higher-accuracy needs, the company said the MGB390 adds dual-frequency GNSS and 180 tracking channels, including an RTK high-accuracy version and a version that supports NavIC (IRNSS).
Fibocom stated that the MGB180 and MGB280 were designed for different single-frequency use cases, with MGB180 targeting highly cost-sensitive tracking devices and MGB280 focusing on balancing positioning performance with power efficiency. For the MGB390, the company said the MGB390-AR supports RTK positioning with specified horizontal accuracy of 1 cm + 1 ppm, while the MGB390-A supports NavIC (IRNSS). Kony Li, General Manager of Fibocom, said, “With the MGB Series, Fibocom provides flexible GNSS solutions covering different levels of cost, power consumption and positioning performance, helping local customers accelerate the development and commercialization of IoT devices.” Fibocom also said the MGB180, MGB280 and MGB390 modules were in mass production.
