Carahsoft Technology Corp. and FedInsider planned a co-hosted event in Reston, Virginia, on August 25, 2026. The companies are using the agenda to focus on developments associated with 6G connectivity and how current 5G work aligns with that direction.
Carahsoft said it will co-host the fourth annual 5G Summit with FedInsider at the Carahsoft Conference & Collaboration Center in Reston. The event is scheduled to include three sessions, with topics that cover open source approaches, Integrated Sensing and Communication, and the use of AI in next-generation wireless networks.
The summit theme is “NextGen Cellular Networks: 6G Coming Into Focus.” Speakers will address open source Open RAN technologies in reducing vendor lock-in and creating more flexible, software-defined wireless infrastructure. The agenda also covers how Integrated Sensing and Communication could be applied as radar-like sensing platforms for new real-time applications and how AI could maximize the value of current 5G investments while laying the foundation for 6G.
Featured speakers include Amanda Toman of NTIA, Anthony Lawson of Ericsson, Brian Vu of GSA, Dr. David Kirkwood of OCUDU, OUSW & FutureG, Eric Wyonarski of the USCG, Ilya Portnik of Dell Technologies, CW4 Reginald Oliver of the U.S. Army, Scott Robohn of Solutional, Tyrell Junius of Tiami Networks, and Victor Spahic of T-Mobile Secure Federal Operations. Sponsors listed for the event include Dell, Ericsson, Tiami Networks, and T-Mobile.
