Nokia provides networking backbone for ResetData's AI Factory data centers in Australia

Nokia has been selected by ResetData to supply a networking backbone for the rollout of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Factory data center in Australia. This initiative aims to establish sovereign AI capabilities while promoting sustainability within cloud operations.

The deployment will support the launch of Australia's first sovereign liquid immersion-cooled AI Factory data center. ResetData's design is reported to be up to 10 times more efficient than previous models and is projected to cut emissions by 45%, while also lowering cloud costs by 40%.

ResetData, backed by Centuria Capital Group, will implement the Nokia 7750 Service Router across commercial properties. This router is designed to enhance performance, particularly in precision timing, crucial for AI infrastructure.

The Nokia FP5-based platform aims to deliver high-speed, secure connectivity, allowing data center to achieve speeds of up to 800Gb/s, thereby facilitating a scalable and efficient AI ecosystem in Australia.

“We are moving quickly because sovereign AI is critical to Australia’s international competitiveness,” said Karl Kloppenborg, Chief Technology Officer at ResetData. “We needed a partner as committed to sustainability as we are.”

Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks at Nokia, noted that as cloud builders like ResetData grow their services, Nokia is prepared to meet the evolving demands of AI infrastructure.
