World Wide Technology completes acquisition of Softchoice, expanding software and AI capabilities

World Wide Technology has finalized its acquisition of Softchoice for approximately $1.3 billion, enhancing its offerings in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. This move is intended to support clients through their entire journey in AI and digital transformation. The acquisition reflects a commitment to delivering tailored solutions to a broader client base, expanding WWT's reach into Canada and the Commercial, Small and Medium Business markets across North America.

Clients of WWT will gain access to an expanded portfolio that includes software, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI solutions. Softchoice aims to leverage WWT’s Advanced Technology Center and AI Proving Ground Lab, further enhancing its infrastructure and hardware services for clients.

Softchoice will continue to operate under its name, maintaining Caprara as CEO. As the two companies integrate, they aim to accelerate AI adoption and expand their market presence. The deal reinforces WWT’s commitment to developing resources that enhance AI adoption across enterprises.

WWT has committed over $500 million to drive enterprise-level AI adoption via its Advanced Technology Center, providing clients the opportunity to test and validate technology strategies with a diverse range of providers. The acquisition reinforces WWT’s goal to expand its influence within both the enterprise and small-to-medium business sectors.
