SAIC launches ReadyOne Foundational for digital engineering compliance
Science Applications International Corp. has launched ReadyOne Foundational, a cloud-based digital engineering solution that complies with the Department of Defense Instruction 5000.97. The platform is now accessible on the AWS Marketplace, positioning it as a resource for government agencies to leverage existing commercial capabilities instead of developing new ones from scratch. ReadyOne Foundational features a digital thread accelerator that integrates various data sources and tools in real-time. This enables users to adopt best practices in digital engineering immediately. By providing a cloud-based environment with pre-filled data models, software tools, and connectors, the solution aims to enhance mission effectiveness while reducing long-term costs associated with engineering processes. Chris Finlay, Vice President of Innovation at SAIC, noted that with escalating threats to national security, adopting digital engineering practices is increasingly necessary for the DoD and its programs. The platform offers a tool-agnostic architecture designed to provide flexibility without vendor lock-in, allowing organizations to maintain control over their tools and data through various hosting options.
