Qwilt partners with Corix to enhance content delivery across North America and Europe

Qwilt announced a strategic partnership with Corix to enhance content delivery capabilities across North America and Europe. This collaboration enables Corix to utilize Qwilt’s Open Edge technology, scaling its network capacity by 6.2 terabits per second. The partnership aims to optimize latency, reduce congestion, and provide a seamless user experience for consumers. Qwilt’s Open Edge technology has over 1,000 Points of Presence (PoP) (PoPs), serving more than one billion subscribers globally. It supports Qwilt’s goal to onboard additional Internet Service Providers (ISP) (ISPs) into its federated global network. The collaboration enhances content delivery by dynamically optimizing traffic, which is expected to meet the increasing demands of digital content consumption. Corix aims to increase its revenue opportunities through the integration of Qwilt’s caching services. This partnership also reinforces the resilience and contingency of Qwilt's network. With over 175 service providers and content publishers adopting Qwilt's Open Edge, the two companies plan to deliver high-performance content across various sectors, including streaming, gaming, and social media.
