Keysight Technologies launches DCA-M Sampling Oscilloscopes for 1.6T optical transceiver testing
Keysight Technologies has announced two new DCA-M Sampling Oscilloscopes tailored for the testing of 1.6T optical transceivers. The devices provide significant measurement sensitivity and integrated clock recovery capabilities for data rates up to 120 GBaud, focusing on the rigorous requirements of optical interconnects in Artificial Intelligence (AI) data centers and next-generation applications. The introduction of these oscilloscopes addresses the challenges presented by the deployment of AI data center networks, particularly the need for precise signal characterization and validation across demanding operational conditions. Effective testing is essential for ensuring high performance and compliance in large-scale manufacturing environments, which must maintain throughput and yield standards. The DCA-M Sampling Oscilloscopes support up to 240 Gbps per lane and integrate features to enhance production test efficiency, including FlexOTO Optical Test Optimization software. This software aims to maximize instrument utilizations, thus reducing costs and improving testing workflow. The oscilloscopes will be showcased at the OFC 2025 conference in San Francisco, highlighting their capability to meet the high-speed optical signal analysis required in modern AI-driven applications. Keysight’s Vice President of Network and Data Center Solutions noted that these oscilloscopes enable advancements in Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing solutions critical to the future of AI infrastructure, emphasizing a commitment to addressing the needs of next-generation data centers.
