CredShields Partners with Checkmarx for Smart Contract Security

SINGAPORE, Nov. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- CredShields has partnered with Checkmarx to enhance application security within decentralized ecosystems. This collaboration unites Checkmarx's expertise in application security with CredShields' specialization in Web3 security solutions, addressing the vulnerabilities inherent in decentralized applications.

As the application security market is projected to reach US $55 billion by 2029, the rise of decentralized architectures presents new challenges. Many breaches in decentralized finance (DeFi) trace back to smart contract flaws, with losses from cryptocurrency service hacks in 2025 surpassing US $2.1 billion. Research indicates that up to 89% of smart contracts may contain vulnerabilities, emphasizing the urgent need for security measures tailored to Web3 environments.

This partnership enables Checkmarx to integrate CredShields' smart contract auditing and blockchain security tools with its application security platform. Organizations will benefit from a combined approach that extends existing DevSecOps programs to encompass Web3 while maintaining established security protocols.

Shashank, Co-founder of CredShields, stated, “This partnership represents a natural evolution in the AppSec landscape. Together with Checkmarx, we're delivering a seamless layer of security that protects enterprise systems, decentralized applications, and smart contracts.”

The collaboration will focus on comprehensive security coverage for decentralized applications, smart contracts, and wallets, AI-assisted vulnerability detection, and contributions to global security frameworks, including the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Smart Contract Security Standards.

Scott Sieper, Director of Product Management at Checkmarx, noted that partnering with CredShields enhances their ability to apply application security expertise in blockchain environments, assisting organizations as they navigate new security needs associated with expanding digital footprints into Web3.

Checkmarx and CredShields aim to redefine application security for decentralized environments, ensuring that security measures evolve alongside innovations as organizations adopt blockchain technology.
