Coveron rebrands from NordProtect and expands scam protection

NordProtect, an identity theft and scam protection service developed from NordVPN’s bundled feature, rebranded as Coveron after product developments that expanded its scope beyond identity theft. The change centers on adding scam coverage and support tools for situations where technology alone is described as insufficient.

Coveron provides support for victims of scams that include romance scams, marketplace fraud, QR code scams, fraudulent credit card charges, deepfake scams, and other tactics used to defraud people. The service includes financial coverage and expert assistance, alongside monitoring tools and features intended to prevent fraudsters from opening credit accounts in a person’s name or causing other financial loss.

Coveron’s protection model includes 24/7 monitoring, credit tracking, security alerts, and financial recovery support, according to the company. It also describes monitoring and advanced features designed to prevent specific kinds of financial harm before it occurs.

The company said Coveron entered the employee benefits segment in 2026, offering identity theft and scam protection through employer paid, voluntary, and direct enrollment programs. It also said the service is available exclusively to users in the United States. “We started as a cyber insurance benefits provider for NordVPN clients, then became a standalone product protecting users from identity theft and its consequences, and finally broadened our focus to scam protection. We are proud to say that we now offer one of the most comprehensive all-in-one scam protection services in the United States, and our growing user base motivates us to keep developing,” says Tomas Sinicki, managing director at Coveron.
