Cloudera Achieves AWS AI Competency

Cloudera said it achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI Competency. The company framed the credential as recognition of its role as an AWS Partner that helps organizations and the AWS Partner Network work on services, tools, and infrastructure for implementing AI technologies.

The AWS Competency Program links customers with AWS Partners that have knowledge and technical expertise in using AWS technologies. Cloudera said the credential reflects technical proficiency and customer success for building and deploying agentic AI workflows in environments described as on-premises or on AWS.

Cloudera described expertise in implementing generative AI solutions and autonomous AI systems that can reason, plan, and execute complex business processes. It cited solutions spanning hyper-personalized content generation and intelligent process automation, and it referenced AWS technologies including Amazon Bedrock and “compatible frameworks.”

Cloudera said it earned the AWS AI Competency through its “AI Anywhere strategy” and “private AI by design architecture,” which it described as enabling agentic AI workflows where data resides, on-premises or on AWS. The company said its approach includes integrations with Amazon Bedrock and other AI tools and infrastructure to operate within a secure, governed perimeter, with auditability, fine-grained access controls, and data sovereignty for “highly regulated industries.” Michelle Hoover, SVP of Global Alliances and Channels at Cloudera, said, “Enterprises today don’t need more AI experiments, but rather AI that works where their data lives and delivers real business outcomes,” and added, “Achieving this AWS AI Competency validates our ability to help customers operationalize AI across hybrid environments, combining the scalability of AWS with the governance, security, and flexibility required to deploy agentic AI at enterprise scale.”
