Atsign introduces Invisible RDP powered by NoPorts technology
Atsign has announced its approach to remote access with “Invisible RDP,” utilizing its NoPorts technology. This development addresses vulnerabilities associated with Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) services amid increasing cyber threats.
Traditional remote access relies on open inbound ports, which can be exploited by malware. The existing design flaws have facilitated various ransomware attacks targeting these vulnerabilities.
NoPorts technology mitigates this risk by closing inbound ports and using secure, peer-to-peer connections initiated only after successful authentication. Consequently, RDP servers using NoPorts become virtually undetectable to unauthorized users.
In a statement, Barbara Tallent, CEO of Atsign, highlighted the need for changes in remote access security, emphasizing that making critical infrastructure invisible helps reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
NoPorts technology extends beyond RDP, offering secure connectivity across various applications and emphasizing data privacy and security in interconnected environments.
