Atsign expands AI Architect to fast-track secure-by-design enterprise agentic systems development
Atsign said it expanded AI Architect capabilities to add MCP-powered co-architecting, native agent modeling, and governance capabilities within an AI-assisted development workflow. The update ties security and governance decisions to the architectural stage before code generation.
AI Architect brings governed blueprints into the development process so teams can define security, authority, privileges, and data boundaries ahead of generation. Atsign framed the changes as support for moving from an idea stage toward an application that is production-ready for enterprise use while keeping governance, security, and system transparency in place.
Atsign described its direct-trust architecture as connecting participants with identity, control, and policy. In that model, Atsign said agents communicate securely without relying on vulnerable central servers or “middlemen,” aiming for zero exposed network attack surfaces by default, and it said the AI Architect workflow uses a secure-by-design architecture-to-code path.
The company said AI Architect now enables a live, bidirectional workflow between language models and a visual architecture canvas, including an MCP connection to AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor to generate a functional straw-man blueprint. Atsign also said it introduced native AI agent nodes in the visual modeling environment to replace opaque “prompt chaining,” allowing developers to visually define agent roles, capabilities, access boundaries, and interaction patterns in multi-agent systems; “Most AI development tools stop at code generation. But enterprise AI development does not begin with code, it begins with architecture, governance, security boundaries, and system behavior,” said Aparna Rayasam, CEO of Atsign.
Starting immediately, the company said the new AI Architect capabilities were available to developers and enterprise teams using the Atsign Platform, with more information at https://atsign.com/aiarchitect/.
