NVIDIA announced a strategic partnership with Nokia, enhancing their existing Radio Access Networks (RAN) portfolio with NVIDIA-powered AI-RAN products. This collaboration aims to enable the deployment of AI-native telecommunications networks, transitioning from 5G to 6G technologies. As part of the agreement, NVIDIA will invest $1 billion in Nokia at $6.01 per share, subject to customary conditions.

The partnership is positioned to support AI-driven consumer services and enterprise applications across mobile networks. With anticipated growth in the AI-RAN market expected to exceed $200 billion by 2030, both companies Secure Execution Environment (SEE) substantial potential for expanding telecommunications capabilities.

T-Mobile U.S. is also involved in this initiative to help integrate AI-RAN technologies into its 6G development, with trials set to begin in 2026. The collaboration aims to improve network performance and operational efficiency, enhancing user experiences as demand for mobile Artificial Intelligence (AI) traffic rises. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, indicated that the partnership could lead to a significant transformation in telecommunications.

Ultimately, the introduction of NVIDIA's Aerial Radio Access Network (RAN) Computer Pro will allow telecommunications providers to evolve their networks with AI capabilities through software upgrades. The aim is a smooth transition to AI-native networks, which can respond dynamically to growing connectivity demands, including emerging technologies such as drones and Augmented Reality (AR) applications.

Furthermore, Dell Technologies will support the initiative by providing servers for the AI-RAN offerings, facilitating a robust infrastructure necessary for these advancements. The companies have committed to exploring additional AI networking solutions, paving the way for further innovations in the sector.
