Eviden secures contract extension to manage Polyalert system in Switzerland

Eviden received a contract extension from the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP) for the Polyalert system, valid until 2031 and extendable to 2035. Polyalert, operational since 2016, serves as Switzerland's national alert system for notifying citizens during emergencies such as extreme weather and industrial accidents. This agreement emphasizes Eviden's capability to adapt Polyalert to the evolving needs of the FOCP.

Polyalert enables rapid and consistent alerts across various channels in multiple languages, ensuring effective communication during critical incidents. The system integrates with the nationwide siren network and the Alertswiss mobile application, helping citizens prepare for emergencies. Designed with cyber-security in mind, Polyalert functions independently of internet or mobile networks.

Eviden will provide operational support and maintenance services, focusing on system resilience and modernization. Martin Thüring, Eviden’s Head of Homeland Security in Switzerland, noted that the contract extension reflects an understanding of FOCP's needs and the commitment to supporting public safety through modular and scalable solutions.

As part of Switzerland’s public safety infrastructure, Eviden also acts as a major provider for the Polycom secure radio network, facilitating communication among emergency services. With three decades of experience, Eviden combines advanced technologies to ensure citizens’ safety in various environments.
