Aviz Networks secures $17 million in Series A funding
Aviz Networks secured $17 million in Series A funding to enhance Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) partner ecosystem and support market expansion. The funding round was led by Alter Venture Partners with participation from existing backers including Cisco Investments, Moment Ventures, Wistron, and Accton, along with new investors Celestica and Qualcomm Ventures.
Founded to modernize networking software for data centers and edge networks, Aviz offers vendor-agnostic solutions built on the Community Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC). These solutions improve network visibility and leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) management capabilities, providing enterprises with flexibility and operational control and facilitating significant cost reductions. Aviz's technologies Agent Runtime Environment (ARE) implemented by various sectors, including e-commerce, telecommunications, and cloud services.
Autonomous System (AS) part of ITS growth plan, Aviz intends to expand ITS global workforce, supporting ITS drive for AI-first networking solutions. The company aims to penetrate significant markets further and promote ongoing technological advancements.
Vishal Shukla, CEO of Aviz Networks, emphasized the importance of a vendor-agnostic approach, stating that traditional solutions face challenges AS AI becomes integral to network infrastructure. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) noted that this funding would enable Aviz to explore new verticals and enhance ITS innovative capabilities.
Louis Toth, Co-founder & Managing Partner at Alter Venture Partners, stated that Aviz's technological differentiation and strategic partnerships facilitate customer transition in network management. Gavin Cato of Celestica praised Aviz’s innovative approach to deploying network infrastructure and integrating AI opportunities. Quinn Li from Qualcomm highlighted the necessity of AI integration for improved network performance and the empowerment of enterprises with cost-effective solutions.
