Aviz Networks secured $10 million in funding, enhancing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) multi-vendor, GenAI-focused networking solutions. This funding round was led by Cisco, joined by existing investors Moment Ventures, Accton, and Wistron. The investment aims to bolster Aviz's customer base and support the uptake of SONiC-based open networking.

The company simplifies the complexity often associated with hyperscale networking, offering AI-driven management features through ITS Networking 3.0 software stack. Aviz reported a 200% increase in revenues over the past year, driven by demand across various global markets.

SONiC, an open-source network Operating System (OS), Hardware Attestation Service (HAS) been gaining traction, with predictions indicating ITS market value may reach $8 billion by 2027, according to analyst firm 650 Group. Cisco, through ITS investment in Aviz, emphasizes ITS commitment to supporting the open-source community and advancing networking solutions.

Wistron acknowledged Aviz's momentum, stating ITS participation in the funding round demonstrates a collaborative effort to provide effective solutions for enterprise networks. Accton noted that their partnership reflects a shared vision for utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the evolving networking landscape.

Aviz co-founder Vishal Shukla expressed optimism about the funding, highlighting the company's focus on leveraging the SONiC community and delivering solutions that enhance quality while reducing costs for enterprises.
