Aviz and Keysight Host SONiC PlugFest 2025 for AI Network Testing

Aviz Networks hosted SONiC PlugFest 2025 to enhance the compatibility of SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) with a variety of networking hardware. The virtual event, set for February 5, 2025, at the Aviz’s Fremont SONiC ONE Center, aimed to support the evolving needs of data centers and edge networks, particularly for GPU-driven applications.

SONiC PlugFest gathered multiple switch vendors who collaborated to showcase the capabilities of the platform. Participants tested SONiC's performance in real-world environments, assessing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) scalability and operational effectiveness across different hardware setups. Keysight Technologies provided ITS testing solutions, further adding technical expertise to the event.

Participants in the PlugFest obtained detailed technical reports detailing their SONiC solutions, along with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses through collaboration with Aviz experts. Attendees also accessed AI-driven migration strategies, covering aspects such Autonomous System (AS) orchestration and observability while ensuring support for their networks.

Khurram Khani, VP of Customer Success at Aviz Networks, noted that the event was designed to expedite decision-making processes for adopting SONiC. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) emphasized the value of the insights and strategies shared during the sessions. Dean Lee, Senior Director at Keysight Technologies, highlighted the company’s role in validating SONiC’s quality and deployment readiness, contributing significantly to the event's benchmarking processes.
