Arctic Wolf acquires UpSight Security to enhance Aurora's endpoint security

Arctic Wolf® announced the acquisition of UpSight Security to enhance its Aurora™ platform by incorporating predictive Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities aimed at improving endpoint security outcomes and ransomware prevention.

This integration will advance Aurora Endpoint Security with innovative ransomware rollback features. By leveraging UpSight Security’s technology, Arctic Wolf aims to develop capabilities that enhance detection and response to cybersecurity threats, particularly ransomware and credential theft.

Post-acquisition, Arctic Wolf plans to employ UpSight’s patented AI models to monitor billions of endpoint events in real time. This proactive approach is designed to anticipate and mitigate malicious activity before it results in ransomware encryption or data theft, supporting quicker isolation of compromised devices and streamlined recovery processes.

Ransomware continues to be a prominent threat to organizations, with a significant proportion of cyber incidents involving data exfiltration. The 2025 Arctic Wolf Threat Report indicated that 44% of incident response cases involved ransomware. This growing necessity for preventive measures underlines the importance of developing robust endpoint protection strategies.

Dan Schiappa, president of Technology and Services at Arctic Wolf, emphasized the company's ongoing commitment to evolving endpoint capabilities, highlighting the importance of advanced detection and recovery methods to enhance organizational security against increasingly complex cyber threats.
