Actelis Networks secures an order for GigaLine solutions from US telecom carrier
Actelis Networks, Inc. reported receiving an order from a major U.S. telecommunications carrier for its GigaLine solutions, which enable gigabit connectivity in multi-dwelling units (MDUs). This order signifies Actelis' initial collaboration with a significant telecommunications provider, enhancing service offerings without the need for new fiber installation inside buildings.
The GigaLine 800 and GigaLine 900 are designed to provide fiber-grade connectivity, allowing broadband service providers to efficiently extend high-speed internet access to apartments and condominiums. This deployment is expected to streamline the expansion of high-speed services while minimizing installation costs and time.
“This initial order represents an important milestone in our MDU market strategy,” said Tuvia Barlev, Chairman and CEO of Actelis. He explained that traditional methods of providing high-speed connectivity in MDUs involve significant costs and construction delays. Actelis' GigaLine technology addresses these challenges by offering an efficient solution for carriers.
The partnership with Netceed, a provider of telecommunications infrastructure solutions, facilitated this order. The collaboration aims to enhance connectivity options for service providers across the United States.
Barlev noted that this order may lead to extensive deployment opportunities across the carrier's service area, helping telecommunications providers to address the connectivity needs of MDUs while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
The MDU market presents a substantial growth opportunity, with around 23 million apartment buildings in the United States. The GigaLine 900 boasts power efficiency of less than 5 watts, providing carriers with an environmentally friendly and economical solution to serve this market.
