ABS-CBN Corporation Deploys SpyCloud Solutions for Enhanced Cybersecurity

A global storytelling company based in the Philippines, ABS-CBN Corporation, deployed SpyCloud's identity threat protection solutions to enhance cybersecurity for its workforce of 5,000 employees. The initiative aimed to safeguard against cyber threats related to compromised identity information.

SpyCloud's service detects stolen identity data associated with breaches and malware infections while actively remediating compromised credentials. This proactive approach seeks to reduce the risks of account takeovers and related cyber incidents.

As media organizations face increasing cyber threats, including sophisticated phishing and malware attacks, ABS-CBN recognized the necessity for advanced protective measures. Continuous monitoring of darknet data allows the company to identify and remedy exposed credentials before they can be exploited by cybercriminals.

Damon Fleury, Chief Product Officer at SpyCloud, noted that media companies are prime targets for cybercriminals seeking unauthorized access to sensitive information. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) emphasized the importance of automating the remediation process in minimizing the risks associated with follow-on attacks.

ABS-CBN's integration of SpyCloud's platform enables real-time alerts about employee credentials appearing in breaches, allowing for rapid password resets and session invalidations. This capability ensures compromised information is neutralized quickly, reinforcing the organization's security framework.

According to Algen Nazareno, Head of Content and Information Security at ABS-CBN, protecting employees from identity-based attacks is a top priority. The insights from SpyCloud’s monitoring offer the intelligence needed to act decisively in securing the organization against potential risks.
