NVIDIA launches DGX Cloud Lepton for AI development

NVIDIA has unveiled the DGX Cloud Lepton, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform enabling developers to utilize GPUs through a broad network of cloud partners. This initiative involves collaboration with companies including CoreWeave, Crusoe, Foxconn, and SoftBank Corp., which will offer GPUs based on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture.

The platform addresses rising demands for AI by providing regional access to Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) compute resources for both on-demand and long-term projects. DGX Cloud Lepton intends to facilitate seamless access to AI capabilities and GPU resources throughout the compute ecosystem.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's founder and CEO, stated, “NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton connects our network of global GPU cloud providers with AI developers. Together with our NCPs, we’re building a planetary-scale AI factory.”

This offering incorporates NVIDIA’s software suite to improve AI application development and deployment. It features tools for cloud providers that automate diagnostics and reduce downtime.

Notable characteristics include a consistent user experience during various development stages, streamlined deployment in multi-cloud settings, and support for data sovereignty compliance. The platform aims to maintain reliable performance and security for its users.

Additionally, NVIDIA announced Exemplar Clouds, which leverage benchmarking tools to boost the operational capabilities of cloud partners. Yotta Data Services has been recognized as the first Asia-Pacific NCP to participate in this program.

Developers can register for early access to the NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton through the company's website.
