Mplify highlights NaaS as key element in AI infrastructure at GNE 2025
Mplify highlighted the role of Network as a Service (Network as a Service (NaaS)) in supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure during the Global Network as a Service (NaaS) Event (GNE 2025) held today. This event marks a significant gathering for industry leaders discussing the evolving AI landscape and the necessary infrastructure components.
The organization, formerly known as the Model Evaluation Framework (MEF), shared its new market brief, titled Network as a Service (NaaS): The Automated Network Supply Chain for Agentic AI. The brief outlines how agentic AI is shifting industry paradigms and creating demand for connectivity that integrates real-time intelligence across various domains.
Pascal Menezes, Chief Technology Officer at Mplify, emphasized the urgency for providers to adopt NaaS, stating, “If you’re a provider and not enabling NaaS, you risk being left behind in the AI era. Agentic AI is redefining how networks are built and operated.” Mplify’s framework supports the transformation of connectivity as infrastructure must enable real-time decision-making.
According to projections from McKinsey, investments in data centers are forecasted to reach $6.7 trillion by 2030, with a significant allocation toward AI-ready capacity. The new market brief underscores the importance of standardized Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs in achieving interoperability among service providers.
Stan Hubbard, Principal Analyst at Mplify, remarked on the transformation in network architecture stating, “Agentic AI is driving the most significant transformation in network architecture we’ve seen in decades.” This reflects the shift from traditional transport networks to systems that facilitate real-time intelligence gathering.
Overall, GNE 2025 served as a platform for Mplify to showcase its standardized assets and discuss the implications for the AI Edge Resource Allocator (ERA), emphasizing automation and security as crucial enablers for the infrastructure needed in this evolving landscape.
