Blumira introduces Microsoft 365 threat response feature for IT teams
Blumira has launched a new Microsoft 365 threat response feature that allows IT teams to lock out compromised users and revoke sessions promptly. This feature aims to help organizations contain security threats more effectively by enabling direct user lockout and session revocation within Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra environments. The new capability integrates with existing Microsoft 365 environments through Blumira’s platform. IT administrators can disable access to compromised accounts directly, streamlining response processes and minimizing the chance for further malicious activities. According to Michael Kellar, vice president of product at Blumira, the feature enables security teams to act faster on suspicious activities without switching between multiple applications. The Microsoft 365 threat response feature enhances security by allowing organizations to lock out users in response to various threats like impossible travel logins and risky sign-ins. The introduction of this feature shifts some responsibilities away from manual interventions, thereby improving overall security posture and response time. Blumira makes this capability available to security professionals using its SIEM+ and Extended detection and response (XDR) plans, helping users stay ahead of potential cyberattacks.
