Digi International partners with Simetric for validated eSIM control

Digi International aligned with Simetric to add validated eSIM orchestration and lifecycle control to its connected-device portfolio, a change the companies said would help customers manage distributed Internet of Things (IoT) environments with greater precision, security, and flexibility.

The press materials described enterprises expanding globally and encountering greater complexity in managing devices, data, and connectivity across carriers. The release framed eSIM as central to the transition to distributed networking, enabling carrier choice and remote provisioning while requiring validation, interoperability, and workflow consistency.

Simetric's Single Pane of Glass orchestration platform was described as a tool to normalize data and workflows, and its GSMA SGP.32-aligned validation engine was presented as ensuring consistency across carriers, eSIM providers, and enterprise systems. The announcement also referenced eSIM implementation work that included carrier profiles and EIM interfaces and mentioned Simetric's Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) orchestration integration into ServiceNow.

The collaboration covered validated eSIM orchestration and device lifecycle control for Digi's connected-device portfolio and aligned commercial deployments to GSMA .32 standards. The companies referenced Simetric's ongoing orchestration work with ecosystem participants, including Kigen, and described work to remove adoption friction and standardize eSIM workflows.

“As connectivity becomes even more critical, customers expect simplicity and control,” said Landon Reese, Vice President of Product Management at Digi International. “Using Simetric's advanced unification platform enables us to simplify the workflow and provide advanced features deliver on the promise of eSIM.” “Digi represents the future of connected operations,” said Allen Boone, CEO at Simetric. “By aligning around GSMA .32 validation and distributed orchestration, Digi is setting the tone for how enterprises will manage global connectivity moving forward.”

The companies described plans to showcase validated eSIM management at Mobile World Congress 2026.
