Delinea joined Project Glasswing, an initiative by Anthropic focused on securing software using a frontier AI model. The collaboration centers on using that model against Delinea’s own code that handles privileged access and related security functions.
Project Glasswing brings together organizations whose software supports critical infrastructure and is positioned around preventing potentially catastrophic outcomes from successful attacks. The effort links identity security software testing to a broader process that adds a frontier AI model to existing security review and adversarial testing.
Delinea said it tested Claude Mythos 5.1 for defensive cybersecurity work. It applied the model to code that stores, brokers, and rotates privileged credentials, including credential and secrets handling, session brokering and privileged access paths, authorization enforcement, and feedback into Delinea’s software development life cycle.
Art Gilliland, CEO at Delinea, said, “AI is making it much easier to find weaknesses in software, and that changes what customers should expect from security companies,” and added, “We joined Project Glasswing to use the best tools available to attack our own assumptions and find problems before someone else does.” Pierre Mouallem, Chief Information Security Officer at Delinea, said, “We’re treating Mythos like any other privileged identity: its access is scoped, temporary and logged,” and added, “It runs against our code in an isolated environment with no customer data in scope. Anything it finds enters the same product security and disclosure process as a human-reported vulnerability.” Delinea said it would share validated findings and remediation patterns with the Glasswing cohort and use its Security Advisories site for issues affecting Delinea products, while following coordinated vulnerability disclosure timelines for third-party or open-source components.
