Datadog Achieves FedRAMP High Certification for Cloud Operations
Datadog, Inc. reported it achieved FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) High certification. The company said the certification reflects its ability to meet federal cloud security and compliance requirements used for sensitive information.
FedRAMP High is described as the top security baseline offered by FedRAMP. The release states that it is designed to protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) government data in cloud environments, and that some federal agencies require FedRAMP High for systems handling sensitive data with a high impact in the event of a security breach.
The release said FedRAMP High enforces strict security controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical information. It also said a significant number of federal agencies require this certification for systems handling sensitive data with a high impact in case of a security breach.
Emilio Escobar, CISO at Datadog, said, “Achieving FedRAMP High certification places Datadog among a select group of tech companies certified to operate in highly sensitive federal environments. This milestone reinforces Datadog’s leadership in cloud security and compliance, and sets a new standard for observability platforms in regulated sectors,” said Emilio Escobar, CISO at Datadog. “FedRAMP High certification gives U.S. government agencies and contractors the assurance they need to adopt Datadog for secure workloads, bringing modern observability, faster incident response and operational visibility into previously restricted environments.” The release also said the certification reflected a multi-year investment in serving the U.S. public sector.
Forward-looking statements in the release addressed potential benefits of new products and features and noted that actual results may differ materially from described plans and expectations.
