CrowdStrike achieves FedRAMP High Authorization for cybersecurity compliance
CrowdStrike has announced that its Falcon platform has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization. This designation allows U.S. federal agencies and public sector organizations to access the platform, ensuring compliance with rigorous security standards while securing mission-critical systems and sensitive information against cyber threats. As nation-state and eCrime attacks increase, the demand for real-time, AI-driven security solutions is critical for federal systems.
Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike, emphasized the complexities U.S. government agencies face in protecting their systems. He stated, “The Falcon platform simplifies security by unifying endpoint, identity, data and cloud workload protection into a single, AI-powered platform.” This integration aims to eliminate operational silos and enhance visibility and protection across hybrid environments.
The FedRAMP High authorization confirms that the Falcon platform complies with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53 Revision 5 requirements. This approval encompasses nearly all products and services offered by CrowdStrike, covering 26 authorized offerings such as endpoint security, cloud security, and vulnerability management.
Organizations within the federal and public sectors can now streamline compliance processes and reduce operational costs through this consolidated security offering. CrowdStrike's efforts aim to bolster the cybersecurity capabilities of U.S. government agencies, allowing them to defend their systems effectively against persistent cyber threats.
