Cato Networks introduces Cato Enterprise Browser for Universal ZTNA
Cato Networks introduced the Cato Enterprise Browser, an extension of its Universal ZTNA offering designed to secure browser-based access. The update targets web access across the internet, SaaS, and private applications while keeping one policy and one license for the UZTNA experience.
The company said the browser capability was folded into the Cato Universal ZTNA approach to reduce policy duplication and to keep management consistent across access methods. It also stated the Enterprise Browser was included as part of the UZTNA license of the Cato Platform and was available generally.
Cato described the Enterprise Browser as delivering full threat prevention and data and application protection through inspection directly within the browser. It also said the browser extends Cato AI Security for Users into the browser to support discovery of shadow AI, risk assessment of AI tools and AI-driven interactions, and enforcement of AI usage policies.
The Enterprise Browser was presented as fully converged into the Cato SASE Platform, operating under the same UZTNA license, and governed by a single policy engine and a single management console across the UZTNA offering. Cato said UZTNA already supports connections via the client, clientless, browser extension, or private application access, and the Enterprise Browser extends that set of options to secured web access, including access for contractors and on unmanaged devices.
“Security shouldn't come at the cost of simplicity,” said Ofir Agasi, Chief Product Officer at Cato Networks. “Organizations need to establish a unified security strategy that scales beyond fully managed employee devices and extends secure access to contractors and BYOD. With the Cato Enterprise Browser, we are extending our edge into the browser itself, offering the same Zero Trust policies and security posture without increasing friction or requiring dedicated policies.”
