Fujitsu Limited launches open-source quantum computer operations software

Fujitsu Limited has introduced the Open Quantum Toolchain for Operators and Users, an open-source operations software for quantum computers available on GitHub. Developed in collaboration with the University of Osaka, Systems Engineering Consultants Co., LTD., and TIS Inc., the software is designed to be customizable, catering to individual user needs. By providing a comprehensive solution covering setup through operation, this initiative aims to simplify the accessibility of quantum computers through cloud platforms.

Prior to this launch, institutions and companies had to create their own software to enable cloud-based operation for quantum computing. Fujitsu's open-source tool is expected to lower these barriers, facilitating the deployment of quantum computers in the cloud environment.

The software will be accessible to research partners using Fujitsu's quantum computers in the second half of 2025. Moving forward, Fujitsu and its research partners will focus on enhancing the software’s capabilities and fostering a global community dedicated to quantum computing.
