Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Enables More Customers to Rapidly Deploy AI and Cloud Services
Oracle launched the OCI Dedicated Region25, designed to facilitate the deployment of over 200 Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud services within customer data centers, thereby minimizing the physical footprint required. This service aims to provide organizations with improved agility, cost-efficiency, and the benefits of public cloud technology.
Scott Twaddle, senior vice president of Product and Industries at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, emphasized the importance of operational flexibility. “Organizations want the freedom to run AI and cloud services where they deliver the most value,” he said. “With OCI Dedicated Region25, we're bringing the full power of Oracle Cloud to virtually any data center.”
This new cloud deployment option is part of Oracle's distributed cloud portfolio and supports modular infrastructure. With the ability to start as small as three racks, organizations can scale this solution to meet their specific needs without compromising on performance or operational capabilities.
“Flexibility in how and where we deploy services has become a key element of our cloud strategy,” said Kazushi Koga, corporate executive officer at Fujitsu Limited. This indicates a demand for services that allow rapid app deployment while maintaining control over infrastructure.
Since its initial introduction in 2020, OCI Dedicated Regions have expanded from large hyperscale systems to more adaptable deployments. This evolution now includes more than 60 Dedicated Regions and Oracle Alloy regions, allowing customers to choose models that align best with their operational requirements.
The OCI Dedicated Region25 offers various features, including advanced modular scalability, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) aimed at efficiency, and integrated security measures. These capabilities address customer needs for enhanced reliability and compliance with privacy regulations. Oracle operates the entire OCI Dedicated Region25 as a fully managed cloud service, allowing clients to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure management.
