Nokia's Enscryb venture partners with NODES and gains two customers
Nokia’s new energy venture, Enscryb, formed a partnership with Norwegian technology firm NODES and engaged its first two customers, Nanuq and Smartecon. Enscryb specializes in providing digital solutions for energy management through the use of digital twins and data analytics.
Launched as part of Nokia’s commitment to sustainable practices, Enscryb offers a platform that orchestrates distributed energy resources in real time, addressing market fluctuations and increasing demand. This service enables clients to better navigate the complexities of renewable energy projects.
The venture utilizes technologies developed by Nokia Bell Labs and focuses on optimizing energy systems for various applications. NODES facilitates transactions between energy market participants, enhancing the efficiency of distributed energy resources. Nanuq is dedicated to electrifying vehicle fleets, while Smartecon specializes in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Chris D. Jones, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at Nokia, emphasized the role of Enscryb in supporting the transition toward a sustainable energy future through digitalization. The collaboration with NODES and onboarding of customers is aimed at improving the resilience of energy systems.
