Zscaler Partners With GSIs to Launch Project AI-Guardian

Zscaler, Inc. launched Project AI-Guardian, an expanded collaboration with Global System Integrator (GSI) partners focused on securing AI agents and autonomous workloads. The effort centers on visibility, protection, and regulatory compliance for global enterprises, using Zscaler’s Zero Trust Everywhere framework and related AI security functions.

The initiative is framed around a shift in security exposure as AI agents and autonomous workloads operate with persistent connectivity and delegated permissions. The program describes new failure modes and blind spots for security teams, including indirect prompt-injection paths and permission chains beyond existing controls.

Under Project AI-Guardian, GSIs will use Zscaler’s AI Protect portfolio, including AI Asset Management, Secure Access to AI, and Secure AI Infrastructure and Apps with continuous red teaming and real-time guardrails. The release also says partners will leverage AI Asset Management to support discovery of shadow AI, AI lineage, and risks such as supply chain risks, posture risks, and sensitive data risks.

The launch lists Cognizant, EY, HCLTech, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro as partners. Zscaler also said GSI partners will utilize a Security Review and Resiliency Engagement Program for threat modeling and defenses to mitigate risks from AI-driven vulnerability discovery.

“GSI partners have been instrumental in driving Zero Trust driven digital transformation, delivering massive cost savings and superior user experiences for the world's largest enterprises,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO, Chairman, and Founder of Zscaler. “With Project AI-Guardian, we are empowering our partners to extend the Zero Trust framework to AI assets including AI agents, ensuring that AI adoption does not come at the cost of security.” “AI is here now and leading organizations are taking action today; governance and security are compulsory across users, data, the network and applications,” said Dan Mellen, EY Global and US Cyber Chief Technology Officer. “AI is rapidly embedding itself across SaaS, cloud, and private application workflows,” said Satish Yadavalli, Global Business Head of Cloud, Infrastructure and Security Services, Wipro Limited.
