Tellabs presents at SXSW EDU 2026
Tellabs said it would present at SXSW EDU 2026 in Austin and exhibit at Booth 411, events the company said would highlight how next generation fiber networks help schools modernize infrastructure and support digital learning.
In its announcement, Tellabs described pressures on school networks as digital learning programs expanded and many districts faced limitations of aging infrastructure. The company described work with K-12 and higher education institutions to modernize networks through scalable fiber-based solutions that aimed to deliver dependable performance while reducing operational costs and environmental impact.
The company outlined technical approaches that included fiber-based networking and Passive Optical Networking. Tellabs said its technology delivered speed, security, and reliability while reducing costs, energy use, and space requirements, and that solutions were designed for flexibility and built to scale.
Tellabs scheduled a conference session titled “The End of Slow: How Schools Escape from Digital Gridlock” for Tuesday, March 10, from 2:00 to 2:30 PM at the Austin Marriott Downtown, Moontower Hall, on the Future of Tech track, and it said it would staff Booth 411 to host discussions on fiber-based networking, meet with experts, and present resources including a Fostoria City School District case study, content from the Tellabs School Administrator blog, and materials on next generation K 12 network infrastructure.
“SXSW EDU is an important gathering for educators and technology leaders who are focused on building the next generation of learning environments,” said Heidi Feltz, Director of Marketing at Tellabs. “We look forward to sharing how modern fiber networks are helping schools create reliable, future ready infrastructure that supports students, teachers, and administrators.” Tellabs invited SXSW EDU attendees and members of the media to visit Booth 411.
