StarHub earns 'A' rating in CDP 2025 assessment

StarHub secured its first 'A' score in CDP's 2025 Climate Change Assessment, the highest climate rating the company had received and a milestone in its sustainability work.

The rating placed StarHub among a small group of organisations globally recognised for how they managed, measured and communicated climate-related risks and opportunities. Over the prior year, the company shifted from meeting disclosure requirements to strengthening how climate risks, emissions and targets were integrated into everyday operations and longer-term planning.

StarHub reported measures to lower the carbon intensity of its always-on digital and network infrastructure, including efforts to improve energy efficiency at network sites and data centres through advanced monitoring, virtualisation and progressive retirement of legacy systems. It is increasing renewable electricity purchases, deploying on-site solar, progressing fleet and operations decarbonisation through cleaner mobility options, and strengthening emissions management across its supply chain.

A key element cited in the assessment was deeper data collection and value chain engagement. StarHub worked with key suppliers using a stewardship-led approach to obtain bottom-up, activity-based emissions information, which enabled refinement of datasets across material Scope 3 categories and improved the quality of its disclosures. In 2024 the company introduced long-term power purchase agreements to raise renewable use across operations.

StarHub published a Sustainability Report 2024 and a Climate Transition Plan, and it planned to publish the 2025 Sustainability Report in April 2026 while maintaining a decarbonisation roadmap anchored in science-based principles toward its 2030 and 2050 ambitions.
