Mplify Joins GSMA Open Gateway Framework for Connectivity

Mplify announced its participation in the GSMA's Memorandum of Understanding for the Open Gateway ecosystem, which aims to enhance connectivity across wired and wireless domains. This collaboration involves uniting Mplify's Network as a Service (Network as a Service (NaaS)) and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs with GSMA Open Gateway technology, enabling high-performance, on-demand connectivity.

Through this initiative, Mplify will facilitate integration between wireless and wireline environments. The LSO APIs will complement the CAMARA APIs designed for mobile networks, fostering seamless end-to-end connectivity. This partnership emphasizes the development of open network ecosystems that are essential for next-generation digital solutions.

Henry Calvert, Head of Networks at GSMA, stated the significance of Mplify's involvement in the Open Gateway framework. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) noted that collaboration among fixed and mobile networks is vital for enterprises to harness digital transformation efficiently and improve user experience.

Mplify's LSO APIs, applied across wired and cloud networks, aim to create an organized connectivity framework. This framework supports various applications, facilitating real-time adjustments based on network performance, optimizing resources through AI Operations (AIOps), and ensuring service assurance via federated Network as a Service (NaaS) supply chains.

Pascal Menezes, Mplify's CTO, highlighted the importance of providing a seamless connectivity experience across network environments, stating that the objective is for users to expect strong performance from their connections without concerns about the underlying network complexities.

This collaboration builds on previous partnerships demonstrated at industry events, showcasing how dynamic network adjustments can be achieved through Application Programming Interface (API) integrations. Moving forward, Mplify will feature the next stage of this collaboration at the Global NaaS Event, demonstrating real-time network intelligence.

The GSMA Open Gateway initiative now encompasses over 80 mobile operator groups, illustrating the collaborative effort across the industry to foster integrative products and services that function reliably across various technologies and global markets.
