Corero Network Security partners with EdgeUno for DDoS protection

Corero Network Security and EdgeUno announced a partnership to deliver automated, fully managed Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection across Latin America to help maintain service availability during attacks.

The companies described plans to combine EdgeUno's regional reach with Corero's automated defense systems so customers could retain stable performance and continuous availability as attack methods became faster, shorter, and harder to detect.

The service was built on Corero's SmartWall ONE platform and was delivered as a fully managed offering that provided uninterrupted service during DDoS attacks, consistent application performance, and availability protection without added operational burden. Corero provided automatic detection and protection solutions with network visibility, analytics, and reporting tools, and its technology protected against external and internal DDoS threats in complex edge and subscriber environments.

EdgeUno operated a network covering 17 countries and over 50 data centers across the Americas and offered connectivity, edge computing, and security services, including IP transit, cloud computing, and data center solutions; the collaboration delivered automated DDoS protection as a fully managed service through that regional infrastructure.

“Availability is personal for customers; it's their reputation, their revenue, their business,” said Carl Herberger. “With EdgeUno, we're making protection fast when attacks hit, easy to rely on every day, and clear enough that customers can trust their services will stay online.” “Our customers trust us to deliver high-performance network services across Latin America, and we chose Corero because they share that responsibility for maintaining service availability,” said Mehmet Akcin. “Together, we're ensuring that performance and protection work hand-in-hand to keep services online when it matters most.”

The companies said the service would roll out in phases beginning with IP Transit customers and expanding to enterprises and service providers that relied on consistent performance.
