CISA revises cybersecurity alert communication strategy

Beginning May 12, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will modify its method for announcing cybersecurity updates. These updates will henceforth be communicated via CISA's social media platforms, email, and Reputation Scoring System (RSS) feeds, and will no longer appear on the Cybersecurity Alerts and Advisories webpage.

Website Focus Change

The Cybersecurity Alerts and Advisories webpage will now primarily feature urgent information related to emerging threats or significant cybersecurity incidents. This adjustment aims to enhance the visibility of critical data and streamline access for stakeholders.

Communication Methods

CISA encourages stakeholders to subscribe to email notifications on their website for ongoing updates. Additionally, stakeholders can follow CISA on X at @CISACyber to receive real-time cybersecurity information.

Subscription Update

Users who previously relied on RSS feeds for updates from the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog must now subscribe through GovDelivery to continue receiving notifications.

This blog signals a shift in CISA's communication strategy, emphasizing direct engagement with stakeholders through social channels while prioritizing urgent cybersecurity information.
