3M to showcase materials and AI tool at CES 2026

3M will present a range of materials and an AI-powered tool at CES 2026 to help businesses experiment, simulate and create with 3M materials across consumer electronics, automotive, advanced manufacturing and data centers.

The company identified product categories on display that included batteries, display films, thermal management and solutions for bonding used in head-up, driver and passenger displays.

Materials were described as aiding device assembly, repair and recycling while providing asset protection against dirt, dust, moisture, heat, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and mechanical stress; the company also cited cable preparation and performance monitoring, sensors that provide real-time data on electrical grid performance, high-speed copper and expanded beam optics.

Two panels were scheduled for Jan. 7: “Accelerating Product Development with Virtual Materials and Simulation” with Drita Roggenbuck, Geoffrey Bouquot and Judy Curran from 1:30-2:00 p.m. Prometheus Scrape Target (PST) on the Mobility Stage, West Hall; and “Beyond AI: The Technologies Powering the Future of Manufacturing” with Adam Cooper, Jeff Puma, Jon Van Wyck and Michelangelo Canzoneri from 2:45-3:15 p.m. PST at N261, North Hall Level 2. The exhibit was listed as Booth 8505.

“3M is reigniting our innovation engine and focusing research and development on high-impact markets as we increase introduction of new products,” said William Brown, 3M Chairman and CEO. “At CES, we'll highlight how 3M is merging the capabilities of AI with our deep technological and manufacturing expertise to further accelerate the innovation process, solve engineering challenges, and deliver smarter, more resilient products.”

3M said it would debut the AI-powered tool at CES 2026 and exhibit its materials and solutions at Booth 8505.
