Wowza showcases AI-powered streaming on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano at IBC 2025
Wowza Streaming Platform has showcased AI-enabled object detection using its Streaming Engine on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano. Live demonstrations at IBC 2025 highlighted the system's ability to deliver real-time automated alerts and visual insights.
During the event at Hall 5, Stand 5.F81, Wowza illustrated its technology's capacity to analyze multiple HD video feeds simultaneously, confirming its effectiveness in air-gapped or private network environments. This functionality supports scalability to larger Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) platforms suitable for data center workloads.
The demonstrations included on-device captioning and translation, allowing for instant captioning and translations without relying on cloud services. This feature aims to improve accessibility while ensuring privacy.
Furthermore, the latest update of the Wowza Streaming Engine is optimized for ARM architecture, specifically the Jetson Orin Nano. According to Michael Phillippi, CTO at Wowza, this enhances performance and decreases infrastructure costs by as much as 30 percent. The compact design permits organizations to deploy streaming solutions flexibly across varied infrastructures, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
