Vodafone and Kaltura enhance Cloud TV services through extended partnership

Vodafone Group Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Kaltura have extended their long-standing partnership to enhance the Kaltura-powered Vodafone TV solution. This collaboration aims to solidify Vodafone’s presence in the Cloud TV sector throughout Europe.

Since its introduction in 2014, Vodafone TV has gained millions of subscribers across various markets, offering consistent video performance. This partnership has enabled Vodafone to transition from traditional IPTV to cloud-native streaming services, benefiting both entities.

The renewed partnership will seek to broaden the capabilities of Vodafone TV, increase its subscriber base, and advance AI-integrated features. These efforts are directed toward enhancing user interaction, personalization, monetization, and operational productivity.

Alberto Ripepi, Vodafone's Group Chief Network Officer, noted the long-term relationship, stating, “We partnered with Kaltura over ten years ago due to its innovative vision,” highlighting the effective integration of streaming TV services. Kaltura CEO Ron Yekutiel shared enthusiasm for the partnership and the forthcoming Artificial Intelligence (AI) developments aimed at improving customer engagement.
