Solo.io Launches Kagent Enterprise for AI-Ready Kubernetes

Solo.Inference Orchestrator (IO) has announced the introduction of Kagent enterprise, designed to enhance Kubernetes infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. The platform, launched on September 15, 2025, seeks to address key challenges in deploying AI solutions, such as security, observability, resiliency, and governance.

Product Update

Kubernetes typically supports cloud native applications but falls short in managing Generative AI (GenAI) and agentic applications due to a lack of contextual awareness. Kagent enterprise improves this by integrating context-aware networking and runtime features that facilitate agent-native protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication.

Technology Strategy

The enhancements provided by Kagent enterprise allow for better implementation of AgentOps across various frameworks, including the Agent Development Kit and Langchain. This platform introduces a tailored data plane, agentgateway, focused on agentic AI connectivity and integrates with Large Language Model (LLM) protocols.

Context Awareness Features

Kagent enterprise provides multi-level context awareness by offering features such as:

Context-aware networking

Agentgateway is a specific data plane designed for agentic AI, enabling support for key protocols that facilitate connectivity among AI systems.

Context-aware runtime

The runtime layer enables Kubernetes to execute workloads with awareness of the context, necessitating advanced policies regarding agent identity.

Context-aware platform

This includes a management interface that allows teams to monitor the interactions between agents, users, tools, and LLMs through an AgentOps dashboard.

Leadership Perspective

Idit Levine, CEO and Founder of Solo.IO, noted that Kagent enterprise tackles the challenges organizations encounter in deploying AI agents from development to production effectively and securely. Paul Nicholson from IDC commented on the importance of having robust foundations for AI workloads to facilitate better scalability and security.

Kagent enterprise aims to empower platform teams to harness agentic AI in production environments, while ensuring security and quality considerations are met.
