What does this page show?

Enter a company and the page finds its live directory record, then shows it twice: the profile a person reads on the left, and the JSON-LD an agent or crawler receives for that same company on the right.

Both panes come from one function, AddDirectoryOrganizationJSONLD, the same one every /directory/ page calls. Nothing on this page is a second, hand-written copy of the record.

Why do the two panes ever look different from each other?

They should not disagree, because the left pane is not a separate rendering. It is built by reading fields back out of the exact JSON-LD node printed on the right, not off the organization row, so the two panes are one object shown two ways.

What differs is form, not fact: a property like additionalProperty becomes a plain sentence on the left and prints as the JSON a machine actually parses on the right.

What does it mean when the page says there is no record?

It means the name or domain you entered did not match a public listing, the same result /directory/'s own search already gives for the same query.

It says nothing about whether we hold that domain or whether a listing for it has been claimed. Those are separate questions /for-companies/ answers on purpose, and this page does not answer them either.

My company is missing. How do I get it listed?

Use the Find your company link at the bottom of this page, which opens For Companies. Enter your company domain there and it tells you whether the company is already listed, unclaimed, or new to us.

Is this the real-time record, or a cached copy?

The record is read from the same organization row /directory/ serves, at the moment you search. This page's own response is then cached for up to 15 minutes, the same policy every page in this section uses, so a change can take up to that long to show here after it lands.

Can I inspect any company, or only the ones shown as chips?

Any company in the directory. The chips below the search box are a handful of examples chosen to show something before you have typed anything; typing a name of your own runs the same lookup /directory/ itself uses.
