Quantum Systems opens new U.S. facility to scale delivery of AI-powered ISR solutions
Quantum Systems inaugurated a new production site spanning 135,000 square feet in Moorpark, California, on June 6, 2025. This expansion is intended to enhance the company's U.S. operations and address the increasing demand for uncrewed aerial systems.
Located in Southern California, the facility is set to provide support to defense and cybersecurity partners throughout North and Latin America. By the close of 2025, Quantum Systems forecasts the hiring of over 100 staff members in the Moorpark region, contributing to local aerospace and defense efforts.
CEO Dave Sharpin described the facility as essential for advancing defense technology and highlighted the company's commitment to delivering AI-powered systems more rapidly. The facility features secure manufacturing lines, engineering laboratories, and designated Research and Development (R&D) (R7D) (R&D) areas, which enable comprehensive production and prompt responses to mission requirements.
By consolidating its U.S. operations in this new location, Quantum Systems aims to enhance collaboration among its global sites, which include Germany, Australia, Ukraine, Romania, and the UK, while addressing the demand for modular Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The opening event included demonstrations of the facility's offerings for defense officials and industry representatives.
