MEF and Console Connect launch Open Source LSO Adaptor Tool for API integration

Model Evaluation Framework (MEF) has released the Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Adaptor Tool, an Open Source solution designed to facilitate the integration of proprietary systems with MEF's standardized LSO APIs.

Product Update

The LSO Adaptor Tool is now available on GitHub and the MEF LSO Marketplace. It aims to streamline the integration process between proprietary APIs and standardized MEF LSO Business APIs.

This tool was developed with input from Console Connect and PCCW Global, enhancing service providers' ability to utilize MEF's LSO Business APIs effectively within their platforms.

Technology Strategy

The LSO Adaptor Tool specifically targets the telecom sector, allowing service providers to incorporate their proprietary APIs with existing systems without needing a comprehensive redesign. This approach is intended to promote integration efficiency and compatibility with LSO-compliant partners.

Pascal Menezes, CTO of MEF, commented, “The MEF LSO API Adaptor Tool marks an important step toward accelerating the adoption of standardized APIs for global interoperability. By making it easier to integrate proprietary systems with MEF LSO APIs, we’re reducing friction in ecosystem collaboration.”

Tool Benefits

The tool presents several advantages for users, including streamlined Application Programming Interface (API) integration, enhanced interoperability without disruption, and flexibility that accommodates varying business requirements.

Console Connect has released the tool as an Open Source project to further MEF's goals for network automation. Paul Gampe, CTO of Console Connect, stated, “API standardization is fundamental to unlocking the full potential of automated services across the telecom ecosystem.”

Access and Further Information

The LSO Adaptor Tool can be accessed via GitHub and the LSO Marketplace for those interested in its application. More details about MEF's LSO APIs are available on MEF's official site.
