Aviz Networks enhances observability for 5G

Telecom operators face challenges with 5G technology implementation, including fragmented monitoring and high data volumes. Aviz Networks presents a Deep Network Observability solution designed to offer real-time insights, facilitate integration, and support cost-effective scaling for mobile networks.

Solution Features

The Deep Network Observability solution incorporates optimized data ingestion and robust packet processing within an open architecture. This setup enables operators to identify network issues in under five seconds, accurately linking Quality-of-Experience (QoE) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics.

Operational Benefits

  • Achieves an 80% reduction in hardware footprint and power usage for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).
  • Enables real-time monitoring of QoE and SLA adherence.
  • Reduces overall lifecycle expenses through flexible hardware options and fewer upgrade cycles.
  • Compatible with existing 4G, Long Term Evolution (LTE), and both Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) 5G systems, including integrations such as Cisco ACI and Kafka analytic channels.

With the use of standard x86 servers and Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) acceleration, the Aviz Service Node (ASN) and Open Packet Broker enhance traffic management, allowing for rapid data processing and quicker decision-making. “Collaborating with Aviz, we successfully implemented a scalable, high-performance network observability solution that seamlessly integrates with existing infrastructure,” stated Keisuke Miura, Deputy General Manager at Itochu Techno-Solutions Corporation. This overview summarizes critical aspects of Aviz's capabilities in improving 5G observability for telecom operators.
