NASA astronauts to answer questions from students in New York
Students from Richmond Hill, New York, will have the opportunity to connect with NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers during a prerecorded session aboard the International Space Station. The astronauts will answer questions related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The 20-minute call is scheduled for 12 p.m. EDT on March 26 and will be viewable on NASA+ and other platforms. This initiative is hosted by Richmond Hill High School, aiming to encourage students and their families to consider careers in STEM fields.
Media representatives interested in covering the event should contact Lilly Donaldson by 5 p.m. on March 24.
Since its inception, astronauts have been living and working on the space station, contributing to various scientific research and technology development initiatives that benefit life on Earth and advance future exploration missions. This aligns with NASA's Artemis campaign, which focuses on sending astronauts to the Moon in preparation for future missions to Mars.
