Mplify updates Carrier Ethernet certification for AI
Mplify announced updates to its Carrier Ethernet certification program, introducing a new certification focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This enhancement aims to validate service performance specifically for AI workloads, supporting the demands of AI-centric applications.
The newly defined certification categories include Carrier Ethernet for Business and Carrier Ethernet for AI. The Carrier Ethernet for Business certification maintains the existing Model Evaluation Framework (MEF) 3.0 standards, allowing providers to ensure their services meet performance expectations without the need for retesting.
The Carrier Ethernet for AI certification validates the necessary performance characteristics for AI-intensive workloads. This includes connectivity required for Data Center Operations (DCO), edge computing, and the integration of AI peripherals. A prospective Carrier Ethernet over Broadband certification is planned to further standardize performance for both business and AI profiles in broadband environments.
“AI is redefining what networks must deliver,” said Daniel Bar Lev, Chief Product Officer of Mplify. The Carrier Ethernet for AI certification aims to provide providers with a framework to deploy performance-driven networking solutions that support evolving AI applications. The Carrier Ethernet for Business certification is available immediately, while the Carrier Ethernet for AI certification will be ready in early 2026.
